Finally found a website that helped me convert my iMovie into a DVD format that can be played out of a DVD player. I shared the film from iMovie into iTunes, then downloaded a program called Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate. i dragged the completed film into the converter section, converted it from a MV4 file into a compatible MOV file, then saved this under documents, dragged it into the burn section.
