I wanted to create the aquarium using materials and objects that relate directly to what humans use everyday, creating a link between the sea monkeys world and ours. plastic was ideal although I now want to use inflatable chairs, yet these are incredibly hard to find for less then £10 and they are opaque, were as i only want to use clear plastic so that the viewer can see the sea monkeys. I could use the soldering iron to join the chairs together, making a large shape where i will make pockets for the sea monkeys to live. Alas, they are no where to be found.
