Helen Marten's first exhibition at the Sadie Coles HQ presents an extensive group of sculptures revolving around there concept of the model as a basic means or organisation. The large array of 2D and 3D models take on humanised qualities. The ceramic vessels placed around the centre of the gallery hint at human shapes, their light pinks, blacks and beige representing something similar to skin. The strange positioning of ordinary objects around the suggestive ceramic outlines present an inside to the life and interests of these personified sculptures. I like the bulbously inflated, l voluptuous shapes, as they have a sort of personality without displaying a face or any real features.
