SOUND SUITS

Nice caves SOUND SUITS are also suggestive of the human form but colourful and fun, the materials are also really satisfying

FIRST PROPOSAL

Finished editing my film and decided to use Jane Austens 'pride and prejudice' first proposal because its a example of english language which is mirroring the country side i have set my film in. i wanted to create the film to be more along the lines of the absurd, a theme i am researching and developing so i have mixed in other dialogue from jane austen classics so that the audience member doesn't understand exactly whats happening, and then cuts back to the end of the first proposal so that when i play the film on loop it has some order.
I like the film but i think next film should include some more 21st centuary pop culture things that are more recognisable to my audicnace.

BIG FOOT

Charles Wigmar's photographs influenced my completion of my fur tall man. i like the heads and the obscure size, its large but really unthreatening. the materials an size shows no evidence of a human although the slight indication through facial features or arms or legs gives similarities that i like and want to develop the image of a relatable thing thats also unidentifiable. the materials used are also chosen through to the environment, i also like the first images if the furry ones that stand in a group, i think i might make some more and have a collective i really like the look of more then one they work well and make the image stronger

OVER THE RAINBOW

Rachel Maclean's videos created and acted by her have short snippets of tv shows and songs that people are familiar with within western culture. i really like the costumes and the face she plays all the characters her self and mouths the speech from the well known

BURROW ME / PIG

Laure Prouvost videos with hand held footage cut up with other photography and images whilst having a narrative subtitles below explaining the story but not having complete collation between the image and the text is interesting. the music behind it also creating an atmosphere for the footage. I like the connection between the imagery and the text and the hand held film
